A display of simplicity and emptiness
Ando utilizes the concept of “emptiness” from the Japanese religion Shintoism. The Shinto concept of emptiness believes that empty spaces are filled by gods or people.
This concept applies in his work through his creation of empty spaces, which encourage people to give these spaces meaning.
This exhibition aims to display Ando's masterful use of nature, light and primitive shapes to create spaces that exude the Shinto concept of "emptiness".
Experience the beauty of simplicity at the Tadao Ando exhibition, now available through December 2022 to March 2023.
